When you get a call from a previous customer you know you’re doing something right! When this call came in, I was not only excited about the garage conversion project but also the fact we were being trusted once again to carry out their project!
We previously installed modern energy efficient spot lights with interchangeable GU10 bulbs in the clients bathroom and stairway and couldn’t wait to get to work on this project!
As with all our projects we carried out a free home visit to find out what electrical works were required and carried out a survey to check the suitability of the existing electrical circuits. We spoke with the other trades involved with carrying out the conversation to discuss location of our wiring and accessories, we discussed and arranged a schedule of works to prevent disruptions and hold ups for the clients!
The plan was to convert an unused garage into a beauty saloon. Power points and lighting were required in very pacific locations to suit the equipment and treatment table location. The studio needed to be super bright for carrying out intricate detailed treatments and also the option to reduce the lighting for massage therapy.
With nearly all our install we chose a downlight that has changeable bulbs which really is a must when it comes to being environmentally friendly! When a bulb fails it’s a straight forward swap that most people can do themselves and not a complete replacement of the whole unit which requires an electrician!
We installed spot lights with energy efficient Dimmable LED bulbs, we chose warm white to create a more welcoming glow over the more clinical cool white bulbs. A dimmer switch was provided and we installed the power sockets at the required locations as requested.
As well as the interior work, the clients wanted some stylish outdoor lights outside their brand new saloon, after discussing options the client chose the stunning matt black wall lantern which was ip rated for outdoor use!
Full testing and certification was provided for the new circuits and a happy customer was happy once again.
